SFA – Sculpture For All would not be possible without the generosity of our individual donors and sponsors. For them, we are truly grateful.
This endeavor exposes SFA students, faculty and staff and the entire Nacogdoches community to art they might not otherwise see – live and in person. The event brings national recognition and publicity to Stephen F. Austin State University and to Nacogdoches. Sculpture For All plays a critical part in fulfilling the university's mission of excellence in teaching, research, scholarship, creative work and service by creating new learning opportunities – helping to build brand awareness for the school, as well as aiding in recruitment of both students and faculty members.
The exhibition also enhances tourism for the already popular Nacogdoches Azalea Trail and Azalea Symposium in the spring and provides a landmark event as Nacogdoches celebrates its designation as “The Garden Capital of Texas.”
Sculpture for All is a joint partnership project that brings together faculty, staff and students from the SFA School of Art and the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture's SFA Gardens. With the pairing of Friends of the Visual Arts and Friends of the Gardens, the backing of the entire university, and the strength of our community partners, this is assured to be a fruitful and creative project.
